"Castletown" performs a high energy show with a sound best described as "AmeriCeltic," blending the heart and soul of traditional Irish reels with modern folk, blues, jazz and country influences  with Robert Richter on lead guitar and vocals, Cynthia Hamm on violin, mandolin and vocals,  Casey McBride on drums and Willie Jaam Gilmore on bass form the solid rhythm section.
 
Based in Portland the band has performed at concerts and festivals all around the West Coast opening for notable acts including Internationally known Irish fiddler Kevin Burke and Atlantic Records Recording artist Danny O’Keefe, whose songs have been covered by Jackson Browne and many others.

In 2023 the band  has performed on the main stage at the Portland Rose Festival and at McMenamins Edgefield.  The summer schedule includes outdoor concerts in Astoria, Beaverton, Portland, Woodburn, Silverton at the Oregon Garden Resort and the Oregon State  Fair in Salem on Sep 1st.

Castletown has performed hundreds of concerts over the last 6 years including  the Granada Theater in The Dalles, the Florence Oregon Events Center and  at KINK-FM Noon Tunes at Pioneer Courthouse Sq in Portland.

Castletown has made  four appearances on KGW-TV Channel 8 the NBC affiliate in Portland.  The band has released 3 albums including "In Reel Time," "Live at Alberta St Pub," and " Traditions."  Their 4th album "Fiona" is set for release in the fall of 2023"
