​"Castletown" performs a high energy show with a sound best described as "AmeriCeltic," blending the heart and soul of traditional Irish reels with modern folk, blues, jazz and country influences  with Robert Richter on lead guitar and vocals, Michelle Alany on violin and vocals,  Casey McBride on drums and Willie Jaam Gilmore on bass form the solid rhythm section.
 
Based in Portland the band has performed at concerts and festivals all around the West Coast opening for notable acts including Internationally known Irish fiddler Kevin Burke and Atlantic Records Recording artist Danny O’Keefe, whose songs have been covered by Jackson Browne and many others.

In 2024 and 2026 the band  performed at KINK-FM Noon Tunes at Pioneer Courthouse SQ in Portland, on the main stage at the Portland Rose Festival and at McMenamins Edgefield.  The summer schedule includes outdoor concerts in Astoria, Beaverton, Portland, Woodburn.

Castletown has performed hundreds of concerts over the last 6 years including  the Granada Theater in The Dalles and at the Florence Oregon Events Center.

Castletown has made  four appearances on KGW-TV Channel 8 the NBC affiliate in Portland.  The band has released 3 albums including "In Reel Time," "Live at Alberta St Pub," and " Traditions."
